The MATRIX works with young people under the age of 18 in South Tyneside, their families and carers. The service provides help, support and advice to those whose lives have been affected by drug and alcohol misuse or those who are at risk of developing drug and alcohol problems.
We offer young people, families and carers a confidential service in South Tyneside.
We support young people who are using drugs or alcohol and require help and support. We won’t judge or tell you what to do but can support you to make any changes you want to make. The Matrix can help you look at whats worrying you and help identify problems you may need support with.
As a parent or carer it’s often difficult to deal with issues regarding drugs and alcohol misuse in your family. We can help you develop an understanding of drugs and their effects and support you to talk to your child with knowledge and confidence.
We know it’s often difficult to engage young people in services when needs have been identified, we can help you by providing appropriate training, screening tools, information, advice and a point of contact to help you best support young people and their families.
