Effects:

The effects are similar to LSD, and depend on the user's mood. They produce visual and sound distortions, and change feelings of sense and time. The effects also depend on the strength of the mushrooms which vary according to the freshness, time of year and regional variations.

The effects take from 30 minutes to 2 hours to happen, the strongest part of the trip takes 4-10 hours and the after effects usually last a further 2-6 hours.

Risk

Eating the wrong kind of mushroom can make you seriously ill or kill you.

There are two main types and they are both very different; the most common form is a species called psilocybe, the other more potent variety is amanita muscaria. There are deadly poisonous species of amanitas. If you don't know what you're doing, don't take them.

They can complicate mental health issues you may have.
