We offer a CONFIDENTIAL friendly service, anything you say in the Matrix will not be shared or passed on to other people, unless we are worried that you or someone you know is being hurt or is likely to be hurt.
about Matrix
The Matrix are based in South Shields Town Centre and work with young people looking at their substance use to help them identify issues which they may need some support to overcome.
The MATRIX team includes workers from:
- North East Council on Addictions (NECA)
- South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust
- Turning Point
- South Tyneside Council
We offer advice and information on a wide range of issues including substance education, minimising harm, reduction plans, treatment, counselling, and are able to contact and work with other services where appropriate. The team has a nurse to help with any health related needs and we are a C2 Card outlet for young people to access free contraception. We also provide support to families and carers.
